productionThere are four distinct phases in making a programme: 1. Pre-production This phase covers your initial client brief to the final agreed script. Key elements of a brief are to communicate your objectives, describe the target audience and the programme's desired affect on them. The client brief is crucial because from this Vidox is able to prepare a tailor-made treatment and preliminary costing. Once the treatment has been agreed, the first draft script can be written, discussed and developed into the final script. 2. Production This is the stage when the filming and recording of all the pictures and sound are carried out in accordance with script requirements. Smooth production relies on careful planning and close liaison with the Client. This is where an experienced production company will ensure that no mistakes are made which could be expensive to remedy later. 3. Post-Production Editing can be undertaken in two stages. The first rough cut is an assembly of the material, where decisions and alterations may be made simply and cost effectively. Here the programme develops its structure and final content. All edit decisions are logged in preparation for the second stage of editing. The Online edit is the final amalgamation of picture, sound, music, voice-over, titles and graphics, which produces the finished programme master. 4. Delivery This is the final mastering stage when your programme will either be authored to DVD, encoded to CD or compressed for the Internet. Regardless of the delivery method you need, a high quality master will give you the flexibility to output in any method you choose. DVD is, at present, the preferred distribution method for many programmes as it ensures the highest quality picture and sound for you target audience. Once your DVD is finalised, we can print and duplicate your required quantities.
